Tanjay Legislated High School under the leadership of the Principal, Mr. Eduard P. Cortez, proudly secured Third Place in the recently concluded 2024 Regional Finals TOFAS Dance Competition on October 12, 2024 through live streaming. This event not only highlighted the creativity and talent of the students through dance but also aimed to promote the Test of Fundamental Academic Skills (TOFAS), a program designed to enhance the numerical literacy of learners across various grade levels in schools throughout Region 7.

The competition initially featured five top qualifiers: Babag National High School, Dumaguete City National High School, Bato National High School, Tanjay National High School, and Tanjay Legislated High School. From these, the competition was narrowed down to top 3 schools namely: Babag National High School, Bato National School and Tanjay Legislated High School that would advance to the Regional Finals.

Tanjay Legislated High School dance crew included the talented students: Xahanna Rhaia B. Dalida, Marssha C. Bueno, Andre B, Taruja, Chrystavelle Cadellina, Kirstine Marie Siquijor, Althea T. Ventura, Ashley Nicole Vergara, Jessa B. Villarin, Creszia Dalmacio, Zairah Alexis Catacutan, Shanaiah Claire Jumawan with the special participation of their very active and brilliant teacher, Miss Nathalie Anne C. Barrera. The team was expertly trained by their coach, Mr. Reynold M. Tablo.

During the preliminary round, Mr. Kent Garet served as the videographer, while during the Final Round, the technical working group was composed of Mr. Exupher I M. Suan, Mr. Jerry Nino Besario, and Mr. Jomari Catubig. The proponents of this event were Dr. Susie D. Ramirez, EPSVR-MAPEH, and Ms. Sanile I. Teves, Division Math and Testing Coordinator.

This remarkable achievement is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and teamwork of both students, teaching and non-teaching staff, bringing pride not only to Tanjay Legislated High School community but to the entire Division of Tanjay City.
